Sarah + Jonathan - Louisville, Kentucky
On a cold January day...we traveled to Louisville, Kentucky because "the Hunt was finally over" for Sarah & Jonathan. It was finally their wedding day! And we were absolutely thrilled to get to be a very small part of it.
When we arrived to The Gillespie in Downtown Louisville, the entire bridal party was there getting ready. We were able to grab shots of Sarah getting her hair & make up touches done with her bridesmaids...as well as shots of Jonathan hanging out with his groomsmen before getting into his suit.
We loved the venue they chose in Louisville. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Gillespie, it was once known as the Lincoln Bank & Trust Company when it was built in the 1920's. It has been completely restored over the years into an event venue & the architecture & detailing of the building is immaculate & elegant...which is why it was a perfect choice for this wedding day!
Moments after Sarah's bridesmaids helped her into her gorgeous wedding gown...Sarah shared the sweetest first look with her dad. We love first looks-- whether the bride chooses to have them with her future husband...or her dad. There are no words to explain the joy in a father's eyes as he sees his little girl in her white dress for the first time. It's a moment they can always cherish!
Their ceremony took place at Walnut Street Baptist Church in Louisville. We had been given a heads up that this church was BEAUTIFUL & goodness, was it! This church dates back to the 1800's & it's located right in the very heart of Louisville.
Friends & family of Sarah & Jonathan trickled in one by one into the church. There was so much joy felt in that room! You could feel God smiling down on this marriage the entire day...especially as Sarah walked down to aisle to her teary-eyed groom. The sweetest reaction we have ever captured of a groom seeing his bride for the very first time. S & J committed themselves to one another & answered the call that Jesus has placed on their lives...they said "I do!" and everyone was invited to celebrate with them back at the Gillespie.
Their reception was decorated in beautiful winter earth tones & golds. A very classy & elegant vibe! Their guests were able to treat themselves to the candy bar or have a blast on the dance floor thanks to their DJ! Hours later, after lots of celebrating, laughing, hugging, and dancing...everyone gathered out front with sparklers to send-off the new Mr. & Mrs. Hunt!
We adored this wedding & this Jesus-loving couple. We know they are about to do huge things for his Kingdom & we cannot wait to see what is in store for their marriage!
Thank you so much for letting us be a small part of such a huge day,
Allison + Tyler
